The whole package.
I draw on two decades of experience in law, policy, and communications to support my organization’s needs. My time in the military taught me structure, discipline, and teamwork. My work in private industry advanced my creativity, stamina, and hustle. But the thing I’m most proud of is how much fun I have while I get the job done.
Legal Foundation.
I began my legal career as an Air Force JAG (military lawyer). I have litigated on both sides of the criminal defense bar as well as in civil court. And I’ve written legal memos to guide decisions at the highest levels in the Pentagon.
Policy Expertise.
Making good policy takes brains and teamwork—I combine both to make vision reality. I am able to research areas quickly and thoroughly, then apply that knowledge where it matters. I know how to lead, support, and gain consensus to accomplish my team’s mission. That translates into smart, successful policy.
Communications Virtuosity.
If it has been written or said, I’ve done it. In addition to my legal research and writing products, I have written and contributed to all manner of policy documents, including strategic plans, decision memoranda, and military doctrine. I have drafted messaging for diplomats to deliver at the United Nations and for company executives to dispatch during media interviews. I have written remarks and hard Q&As for myself and others for use as live testimony before regulators. In my spare time, I cohost a podcast on national security law.
